Though this board is probably just going to be for friends and that alone, I'm still going to put up a few rules so things don't get too out of hand. Don't take offense to it, but if you really don't like something just let me know and we'll talk about it.
# No Flaming or typing in all capital letters, it gets a little annoying.
# No god-moding. God-moding is whenever you take over another character's actions against their will. God-moding is also the act of assuming your character's attack hits without giving the other person a chance to respond. Of course there are exceptions to this rule, such as if you are able to mind control or dominate a person's mind, or when there is no possible way that your attack can be dodged or something of that effect, but please keep it to a minimum if possible.
# Please avoid plagiarism, obviously.
# When posting, please be descriptive and use the proper role-playing methods: Always type in past tense, always type in third person, use "quotes for speech." Also, this is not a writer's block type of site. Huge posts aren't required.
# Try to use correct grammar and punctuation as much as possible unless your character simply speaks otherwise, but these situations should be only when they are speaking or thinking.
Other than that, simply use common sense. I don't mind if you invite people to the site, as long as they understand this is going to use close to the same rules as D&D. I will get with you to let you know how things work to understand whether or not something should succeed, and how it will actually take effect. Just because you "should be able to hit" someone, doesn't necessarily mean you should be able to cut off their arm with ease. Even the writers of D&D understood that, which is the reason for the HP system. HP is a way of calculating how long you can stand to fight, including your ability to dodge, your armor's capability of withstanding blows, and your sheer will to continue. We will discuss this later and I'll type up a little guideline on it after we clear it up.
